AWG
The American Women's Group in Oman (AWG) is a non-profit, non-political organization.
Full and associate memberships are available to women residents of Oman. Across the world, branches of the American Women's Group (AWG) promote friendship and goodwill. In 1975, Mimmi Wolle, the US Ambassador's wife, brought 20 American women together, forming the nucleus of what was to become the American Women's Group (AWG) in Oman. Five years after its formation, membership was opened to all women residents in Oman.
The objectives of the AWG are:
For members to meet in fellowship
To exchange ideas and interests
To participate in cultural & social activities
To be of service to the community
To become acquainted with the customs and cultures of the local environment in which we live
Membership provides:
Opportunities to meet and socialize with other women of all nationalities
Participate in a range of events and special interest groups
Access to a network of people who are willing to help you settle into your new surroundings Discounts to numerous outlets on presentation of your membership card.

Two new Interest Groups
Moms and Tots A time for moms and children to gather, play, talk and connect. If interested in this new group please contact Michele Andreasen.
Creative Kitchen A group for those that love to cook! Each member would host the group (or pair up if your kitchen is large enough), in which they teach the group how to cook one of their favorite recipes. A time to teach, learn, connect and eat yummy food! If interested in this new group please contact Michele Andreasen.
